Captain Harlock!

As as child, I loved this anime series and never missed an episode. Captain Harlock was, and I am not ashamed to admit that he pretty much still is…, my hero! Thank you, Leiji Matsumoto, for your creativity. Although it seems, from the trailer, that Harlock is not fighting the Mazone this time, the plot seems interesting, and the animation looks exquisite, visually captivating and intriguing. Can’t wait for this movie to come out.

There are many trailers in You Tube, but this one I believe is the the best. In the meantime, I can only admire Medicom’s Harlock statue.

Priced over $400, which means that I won’t be able to own one in the near future, to proudly display on my book shelves at home. Unless something like a “Let’s help Marielba get her Captain Harlock Medicom statue” fund raising campaign exists, of course. So, come on people, let’s make this happen!

Only joking, of course…

One can dream though…

Happy 2014

So 2014 is here and so far, so good! I’ve had two great news in less than a week. I hope the streak keeps on going. First, I got an emial saying that my book, Philomena Sparks and The Curse of the Big Ben won a Honorable Mention at the London Book Festival. Sadly, I won’t be able to attend the Award Ceremony. I’m OK with that though. And, the other good news is that my book was reviewed and appeared on last Sunday’s local newspaper, El Nuevo Día. Can’t be happier with the good vibes and all. I wish everyone a blissful 2014, yay!
