‘The World Within’ visits the city of Caguas

Yesterday, I went to meet the sixth grade students of one of my teacher friends, Maribel Méndez. She had assigned ‘The World Within’ to her class and I was invited to visit the school, Concepción Méndez Cano in Caguas, and meet the students. I was, and still am, very thrilled because this is the first group of students who got to read my book and they loved it!

Sorry the photo is a bit out of focus, but you can appreciate the teacher, her classroom and two of the students. This is when she introduced me to the class.

The kids were paying attention to all I said and they came prepared with many important questions they wanted me answer.

Well, yes, you can tell I was very happy to be there.

I got to sign their books. This girl wanted to see what I was writing. They were all so happy too.

And a group photo, of course! I hope many more children get to read it. In case you’re interested, here are the links where you can download or get a printed copy of The World Within:

Dear friends,

Dear friends,

Hello to you all and thank you for visiting this blog.

Yes, it is true. I have written and managed to publish a book on my own. It is called ‘The World Within’ available in electronic format at Amazon/Kindle and Smashwords. Here are the links:

For Smashwords click here:

The World Within

It’s an action, adventure, fantasy story for young readers and for the young at heart. I won’t say much about it, because I don’t want to ruin it for you. But, you can read the first chapter and part of the second one on your computer screen if you like.

In fact, my nephew, who is now 11 years old, called me on the phone just a few hours ago, to tell me he loved it. This means a lot to me. He lives in Oregon and I’m in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I wasn’t expecting him to call me at all, so this has lifted up my spirits in such a way, that I don’t know if I’ll be able to sleep tonight.

Yet, I have some other good news. This novelette will be available in print, soon, very soon. In fact, I got my proof this week and already submitted some minor corrections. I am so happy and thrilled about this, that I uploaded a short story I wrote some years back, and it is available for FREE. You can read it online or download it to your favorite electronic appliance. Just click here:

Hekití and the Moon: A Taíno Legend

I just uploaded it two days ago and already 40 people have read it and three of them were so kind as to leave reviews. I also uploaded it to Amazon/Kindle, but for some strange reason, they won’t let me put it up for free, so I had to write in the minimum, 99 cents.

Hope you enjoy those while I get busy writing some more..
